THE ART OF WHEEL BUILDING
The art of wheel building is still something we do and take pride in. There is perhaps no finer upgrade for your favourite bike than a set of hand built wheels, exactly built to your needs and riding style.

 I believe some of the best options for wheels are a set of light box section rims from Ambrosio or Mavic, laced to Campy or Shimano hubs.  Check out any of the Spring Classics and you will see a majority of the Pros on these traditional set ups.  They are reliable, easy to find a spoke for, comfortable and light.

I think we all get caught up in the hype of today’s technology, which definitely has its place, but sometimes the simplicity of a 3 cross wheel is what does the job the best.  In terms of spokes, we use no others but Sapin from Belgium or the Swiss favorites DT.

BIKE BUILDS
The majority of the bikes we sell are custom specified by the customer and built from the frame up. The best thing about building a frame up is that you get to pick every part of the bike from the colour of the bar tape to the cassette ratio.  We all have different needs and wants, so why have some bike company pick your bar or saddle.  You are the best judge of what you want and with a bit of guidance can spec your own bike.
