We have been partnering up with Assos for custom PRW kits for about 6 yrs now. At one point we were the first shop in Canada to be offered the privilege of working with the fine folks from Switzerland on a custom kit. When I say privilege I am not exaggerating. Partnering up with Assos on a custom project is a labor of love and not a 4 week turn around, which is not a bad thing.

First we design the kit together, if it doesn’t meet their approval for overall aesthetics no go. It can be custom but it still needs to have the feel of a true Assos garment. Once we sign off on the proof they go to work to make us a real life sample. That’s right, they custom make one single jersey for us to inspect and sign off on. No e-mailed photo’s or PDF’s, they make us physically approve a real sample. Checking for logo placement, fabrics and overall look . PRO

Once we sign off on the pre-production sample they get to work. The custom clothing we do is not farmed out to anyone in Europe or Asia, its all stitched by hand in the Assos Race Room located in Switzerland. This is the same place the likes of Cancellara and other Swiss National Team athletes go to get fitted and sized for kit. So they know a thing or two about stitching cycling clothing.

The end result is a garment worth the 4 month wait. We are onto our 3rd design and we offer a new one every couple of years. Its always limited and the same design is never repeated, once its gone its gone. For those of you who did not pre-order we have a good selection of short Sleeve jerseys and Bibs in stock. Treat yourself before they are gone.
