prosecco and bikes

Finally, summer is fully operational and even the AC is on. Although it is optimal weather to stay in Canada I am leaving to Europe to visit Italian greats, Wilier and Campagnolo. Granted an opportunity to tour their facilities and test new products I can get over missing out on our 2 weeks of summer. I have been invited every year by Wilier but since its peak season here and I am a control freak I always say no. So this year I caved and realized that this is why I am in this industry, bikes are cool and riding them is what its all about. So I apologize that I will not be in the shop from the 15th -22nd, but will be revitalized with a bit less anger when I get back! If I haven’t yet already I will also be finding my climbing legs during the Axel Merckx Fondo this weekend so I don’t get embarrassed by the Euro’s when I participate in the Charley Gaul Fondo on the 2015 Zero 7. As a true Albertan I am much more an “Angel of the RR 213 Flats” but will happily climb for the reward of descending fine Italian switchbacks.

Rob and Adam will be at the shop during my absence and should be able to help out, and any new bike fittings will resume upon my return (remember I am a control freak). Be nice to them as they are young and have many happy yrs ahead of them. So if you are mad because your bike creaks wait till I get home to yell at someone as they don’t get paid for that, I do. Also they are not hooked on coffee yet but do enjoy baked goods. If you do come by and the store is insane feel free to help out fitting a helmet or selling some kit. Bring beer when I get back as I don’t want phone calls from their parents…. Enjoy the remainder of the Tour, and see you in a few.
